The Hospital Credit Billing Insurance Executive manages patient billing, insurance claims, and corporate admissions. Key duties include verifying insurance eligibility, securing pre-authorizations for cashless hospitalizations, resolving claim denials, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and billing regulations to maximize revenue recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Admissions & Approvals: Manage the admission process for corporate, insurance, and government credit schemes. Verify eligibility and coordinate with Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) to obtain pre-authorizations for major procedures.
- Billing & Documentation: Prepare and submit accurate interim and final medical bills. Ensure correct documentation of treatments, surgeries, and pharmacy charges prior to patient discharge.
- Claims Processing: Track submitted medical claims and liaise with insurance providers for timely settlements. Manage claim rejections and draft appeals as necessary.
- Patient Communication: Counsel patients regarding insurance coverage limits, package details, corporate benefits, and out-of-pocket payment responsibilities.
