An Accountant for a Baking Factory manages daily bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, inventory cost allocation, and tax compliance (such as GST and TDS). They prepare financial statements, reconcile transactions, and generate MIS reports to help the bakery control ingredient costs and maximise profitability.
Core Responsibilities
- Day-to-Day Accounting: Process sales, purchases, and expense entries using accounting software.
- Inventory & Cost Control: Track raw material consumption, calculate recipe/production costs, and assist with month-end stock valuations.
- Vendor & Cash Management: Reconcile vendor ledgers, manage accounts payable, and track daily cash or digital transactions from retail counters. Payment follow ups to ensure smooth cash inflow.
- Taxation & Compliance: Compute and file GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare profit/loss statements, cash flow forecasts, and management information system (MIS) reports.
- Audit Support: Coordinate with external Chartered Accountants (CAs) for audits and financial reviews.
Key Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or M.Com.
- Software Skills: Strong proficiency in Tally and advanced MS Excel
- Experience: 1 to 4+ years of experience, preferably handling manufacturing or F&B/bakery accounts.
- Soft Skills: High attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to manage strict deadlines
Pay: ₹8,550.18 - ₹41,891.21 per month
