Job Summary
We are looking for a BIW Welding Quality Engineer to ensure in-process quality of BIW welded assemblies and control welding-related defects.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor BIW Spot, MIG & Projection Welding processes. Inspect weld quality and monitor key welding parameters. Identify and control Missing Weld, Weak Weld, Spatter, Burn-through, Crack, Porosity & Weld Position defects. Conduct First-off, Last-off and In-process inspections. Ensure compliance with PFMEA, Control Plan, SOP & Work Instructions. Analyze quality issues using 7 QC Tools, 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto & 8D. Coordinate with Production, Maintenance and Engineering teams for CAPA. Monitor weld guns, electrode condition, fixtures and welding process. Track PPM, Rejection, Rework and FPY. Support Process Audits, LPA, Product Audits and Customer Audits.
Candidate Profile
3–5 years of experience in Automotive BIW / Welding Quality. Good knowledge of Spot Welding / MIG Welding / Projection Welding. Knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plan, 8D, GD&T and Welding Symbols. Good problem-solving and communication skills. Automotive BIW experience preferred.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
