Job Title: Executive – Forward Quality Check (QC)

Job Summary
The Executive – Forward Quality Check is responsible for inspecting jewellery pieces at various stages of production before they move to the next department or vendor. The role ensures adherence to design specifications, manufacturing standards, and quality benchmarks, thereby reducing rework, delays, and defects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed quality checks on jewellery pieces received from vendors or internal departments (casting, setting, polishing, finishing).
- Verify workmanship, stone setting accuracy, weight, finishing, dimensions, and overall aesthetics before forwarding items.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and design specifications shared by the PPC and design teams.
- Identify defects, discrepancies, or deviations and coordinate with respective teams/vendors for corrections.
- Maintain accurate QC records and update ERP/Excel trackers with inspection status.
- Tag, segregate, and route jewellery pieces to the appropriate next production stage.
- Collaborate with PPC, Production, and Inventory teams to ensure smooth workflow and minimize rejections.
- Support periodic quality audits and contribute to process improvements.
Skills & Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in jewellery quality control or production roles.
- Strong knowledge of jewellery components, manufacturing stages, and quality standards.
- Ability to identify defects in polishing, setting, finishing, soldering, and assembly.
- Familiarity with gold, diamonds, gemstones, and measurement tools (vernier, loupe, tweezers).
- High attention to detail and strong observation skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
