About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Social Studies Teacher to join our Middle School team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the CBSE curriculum and a passion for making Social Studies engaging, interactive, and relevant for students.
The teacher will be responsible for delivering effective classroom instruction, promoting critical thinking, and creating an inclusive learning environment that supports academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Social Studies subjects including History, Geography, Civics, and related areas to Middle School students as per CBSE curriculum guidelines.
- Plan and deliver engaging lesson plans using interactive and student-centered teaching methodologies.
- Prepare worksheets, assessments, assignments, and instructional materials.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress through regular assessments and feedback.
- Encourage inquiry-based learning, discussions, and project-based activities.
- Maintain classroom discipline and foster a positive learning environment.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies into classroom instruction.
- Maintain accurate academic records, attendance, and student performance reports.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student development.
- Participate actively in school events, meetings, training sessions, and co-curricular activities.
- Ensure adherence to school policies, safety standards, and CBSE academic requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Social Science, or related field.
- B.Ed. qualification is mandatory.
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school preferred.
- Strong understanding of CBSE curriculum and pedagogical practices.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Proficiency in using digital teaching tools and classroom technology.
