Job Description
The PPAP Engineer is responsible for managing and executing the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for fasteners (bolts, nuts, screws, washers, etc.) to ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry standards. This role involves coordination with suppliers, internal teams, and customers to ensure timely and accurate PPAP submissions and approvals.
Main responsibilities:
The PPAP Engineer will:
- ISIR/PPAP Project management evaluation/compilation in line with target dates, and
liaising with CSC in order to achieve target dates.
- Prepare, review, and submit PPAP / ISIR documents as per AIAG standards.
- Corrective action management to be carried out for customers, suppliers and internal
issues relating to PPAPs/ISIRs.
- Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements (CSR), especially for OEMs (e.g., Cummins, JCB, etc.)
- To ensure Document control, concession management and APQP completion
(Supplier Feasibility Document).
- Review engineering drawings and specifications for fasteners (thread, coating, heat treatment, etc.)
- Track PPAP status and ensure timely submission and approvals.
- Have a detailed understanding of products, surface coatings and locking/sealing
patches.
- Have a basic understanding of metallurgy.
- Undertake internal audits and have a basic understanding of Environmental Procedures
and disciplines.
- Basic knowledge of ELV Directive and IMDS / CDX Input.
- Create and compile KPI’s.
- Maintain PPAP records and documentation in systems (EQMS, customer portals, etc.)

Skills and Qualifications:
- Min 2-3 years work experience
- Experience with fastener standards (ISO, DIN, ASTM, SAE)
- Understanding of Thread Spec, Coating & Plating & Heat treatment processes.
- Exceptional data entry skills (computer, keyboard, mouse)
- Good communication and supplier coordination skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel & documentation tools
- Highly motivated, high energy, ‘can do’ attitude, competitive self-starter with a strong sense of urgency
Shifts and Timing:
“US Shift” IST 6.30 PM to 3.00 AM Depends on Customer requirement.
