Algology is a microalgae biotechnology company focused on producing high-quality phycocyanin, spirulina, chlorella, and other algae-derived ingredients for the food, beverage, nutraceutical, and wellness industries.
We are seeking an ambitious B2B sales professional to accelerate the adoption of phycocyanin across India and international markets.
Role Overview
The B2B Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and managing commercial relationships with food, beverage, nutraceutical, dietary supplement, and pharmaceutical companies. The role requires a proactive individual capable of driving sales growth, opening new markets, and managing customer relationships from lead generation through commercial closure.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies for phycocyanin and related algae-based ingredients.
- Identify and acquire new B2B customers across India and international markets.
- Build relationships with procurement, R&D, innovation, product development, and regulatory teams.
- Manage the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, customer meetings, sampling, negotiations, and contract closure.
- Generate and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
- Work closely with technical and production teams to support customer projects.
- Represent Algology at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
Requirements
- 3–10 years of B2B sales experience.
- Experience in food ingredients, nutraceutical ingredients, natural colours, specialty ingredients, flavours, or functional ingredients.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business.
- Ability to travel within India and internationally when required.
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and results-oriented.
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing network within food & beverage, nutraceutical, dietary supplement, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Experience with export sales and international business development.
- Knowledge of natural food colours and clean-label ingredients.
