Key Responsibilities & Technical Skills
- As a Field LAN Engineer, your daily tasks will include attending active repair calls and managing site infrastructure
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnosing and fixing daily network disruptions, networking issues, and LAN wire issues across different branches.
- Network Infrastructure Management: Carrying out neat Rack Dressing and Redressing, managing Patch Panels, and handling Fiber Panels.
- Physical Connectivity: Performing high-precision I/O Punching, understanding Color Coding standards, and crimping/fixing RJ45 connectors.
- Install and terminate Cat6 / Cat6A and fiber optic cables.
- Set up and manage patch panels, network switches, and racks.
- Route cables through walls, ceilings, conduits, and other structures.
- Conduct cable testing, certification, and documentation.
- Diagnose and repair LAN/Fiber connectivity issues.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety protocols.
