Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) Control Cabin is responsible for ensuring the 24/7 reliability, functionality, and security of critical infrastructure, including traffic surveillance cameras, variable messaging signs (VMS), and server systems. This role combines proactive maintenance with rapid troubleshooting to minimize downtime of highway management technologies.
Key Responsibilities
System Monitoring & Control: Actively monitor traffic camera feeds, VMS boards, and incident detection systems via dashboards in the central control room.
Preventive
Maintenance: Perform scheduled checks on field equipment (e.g., CCTV, speed detection radar, sensors) and cabin infrastructure (servers, UPS) to ensure continuous operation.
Troubleshooting and Repair:
Diagnose technical faults, repair hardware and software issues, and restore functionality to ATMS components, including optical fiber networks.
Incident Response: Support incident management by facilitating real-time viewing and data flow to response teams (e.g., ambulances, patrol vehicles).
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance, repair logs, and system downtime.
Vendor Coordination: Liaise with equipment suppliers for annual maintenance contracts (AMC), spare parts procurement, and repairs.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications :-
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electronics, electrical systems (3-phase UPS), computer networking, and surveillance hardware.
System Experience: Familiarity with Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) cameras, radar-based warning systems, and server management.
Problem-Solving: Excellent diagnostic skills to identify and resolve complex, on-field, or system-level issues.
Documentation: Proficiency in creating reports, logs, and maintenance procedures.
Education:
B. Tech in Electronics / Diploma in Engineering. Passed out before 2023 only required.
