Job Purpose
The Senior Specialist, Maintenance Control Center (MCC) is responsible for coordinating and controlling day-to-day aircraft maintenance activities to ensure continued airworthiness, operational reliability, regulatory compliance, and maximum fleet availability. The role serves as the central point of coordination between Engineering, Line Maintenance, Base Maintenance, Flight Operations, Network Operations Control (NOC), Supply Chain, and Quality to manage aircraft technical status, maintenance events, defects, and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations while minimizing operational disruption.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the technical status and airworthiness of the aircraft fleet on a continuous basis.
- Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities to ensure aircraft availability and operational reliability.
- Review and assess aircraft technical defects, deferred defects, repetitive defects, and operational restrictions to determine appropriate maintenance actions.
- Coordinate defect rectification with Line Maintenance, Base Maintenance, Engineering, and contracted maintenance providers.
- Manage Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events by coordinating technical support, logistics, manpower, tooling, and material requirements to expedite aircraft recovery.
- Monitor the accomplishment of maintenance tasks, inspections, Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), Engineering Orders (EOs), and other mandatory maintenance requirements.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with the approved Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP), Minimum Equipment List (MEL), Configuration Deviation List (CDL), and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical coordination and operational support to Flight Operations and Network Operations Control regarding aircraft serviceability and dispatch decisions.
- Coordinate aircraft recovery plans during operational disruptions and technical delays.
- Monitor deferred defects to ensure timely rectification within approved limitations.
- Coordinate maintenance support for aircraft operating at outstations and remote locations.
- Ensure maintenance records and technical information are accurately updated within the Maintenance Information System (MIS) and Maintenance Control databases.
- Liaise with Engineering on technical troubleshooting, reliability concerns, and recurring defects.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure the availability of spare parts, components, and tooling required for maintenance activities.
- Prepare daily fleet technical status reports, maintenance summaries, AOG reports, and operational performance reports.
- Participate in reliability monitoring by identifying trends in technical defects and recommending corrective actions.
- Support regulatory audits, safety investigations, and quality assurance activities by providing technical records and maintenance coordination documentation.
- Mentor junior MCC specialists and contribute to the continuous improvement of Maintenance Control Center processes and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related discipline.
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) License or equivalent technical qualification is highly desirable.
- Training in aircraft maintenance control, continuing airworthiness, or airline operations is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of 6–8 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, maintenance control, maintenance planning, line maintenance, or engineering within a commercial airline, MRO, or CAMO environment.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Maintenance Control Center (MCC), Operations Control Center (OCC), or a similar operational control function.
- Experience coordinating AOG recovery activities and managing aircraft technical disruptions.
- Experience using Maintenance Information Systems such as AMOS, TRAX, Ramco Aviation, Rusada ENVISION, or equivalent.
- Experience working with commercial aircraft maintenance programs and regulatory compliance requirements.

- High-pressure environment requiring rapid decision-making during operational disruptions, technical events, and AOG situations.
- Occasional travel may be required to support aircraft recovery operations, maintenance facilities, or operational meetings.
Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per month
