We are looking for a skilled PCB Design Engineer to design, develop, and optimize Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) for LED lighting products and electronic applications. The candidate will be responsible for PCB layout, component placement, design verification, documentation, and coordination with hardware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure high-quality, manufacturable designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design single-layer, double-layer, and multilayer PCBs based on circuit schematics.
- Prepare PCB layouts considering signal integrity, thermal management, EMC/EMI, and manufacturability.
- Perform component placement and routing while adhering to design standards.
- Generate manufacturing files including Gerber files, NC Drill files, Pick & Place files, and BOM.
- Coordinate with hardware engineers to review schematics and optimize PCB layouts.
- Work closely with mechanical engineers to ensure PCB compatibility with product enclosures.
- Conduct Design Rule Check (DRC), Electrical Rule Check (ERC), and layout verification.
- Support prototype development, testing, debugging, and design modifications.
- Resolve PCB-related issues during prototype, pilot, and mass production.
- Maintain design documentation, revision history, and engineering change records.
- Coordinate with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors for technical support and issue resolution.
- Ensure compliance with IPC standards and customer requirements.
Required Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in PCB design software such as Altium Designer, KiCad, Cadence Allegro, OrCAD, or EasyEDA.
- Knowledge of PCB fabrication and PCB assembly processes.
- Understanding of analog, digital, and power electronics.
- Knowledge of LED driver circuits, SMPS, and power supply PCB design is preferred.
- Familiarity with EMI/EMC design practices and thermal management techniques.
- Ability to generate Gerber, ODB++, and manufacturing documentation.
- Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-2221, IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610) is preferred.
- Understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
