Key Responsibilities (Support‑Focused)
Data Pipeline Support: Monitor and support existing ETL/ELT workflows on AWS Glue and AWS Step Functions; handle job failures, reruns, incident resolution, and minor enhancements.
Operations & Monitoring: Proactively monitor batch schedules, dependencies, and alerts using CloudWatch; ensure SLA adherence and production stability.
Incident & Request Management: Manage incidents, service requests, and problem tickets using ServiceNow; perform root cause analysis (RCA) and follow ITIL processes.
Data Storage & Access Support: Support Amazon S3 data lakes, lifecycle policies, access issues, and secrets management via AWS Secrets Manager.
Metadata & Data Issues: Maintain and update metadata, lineage, and operational data in DynamoDB / Snowflake; support impact analysis during incidents and changes.
SQL & Snowflake Support: Troubleshoot SQL queries, views, Snowflake tasks, and warehouse issues; support roles, access, and basic performance tuning.
Minor Enhancements & Fixes: Implement small Python/SQL changes for bug fixes, validations, and operational improvements.
Release & Change Support: Support CI/CD pipelines in GitHub; raise and track changes, releases, and deployments via ServiceNow and Azure DevOps Boards.
Documentation & Collaboration: Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge articles; collaborate with development, platform, and business teams.
Must‑Have Skills
Python: Basic Python for troubleshooting, minor fixes, and support automation.
AWS: Hands‑on support experience with AWS Glue, Step Functions, S3, DynamoDB, Secrets Manager, IAM basics, and CloudWatch.
SQL: Strong SQL for data validation, issue analysis, and troubleshooting.
Snowflake: Operational knowledge of warehouses, schemas, roles, tasks, and basic performance troubleshooting.
ServiceNow: Experience with incident, problem, change, and request management, SLA tracking, and RCA documentation.
DevOps Tools: Working knowledge of GitHub (PRs, CI/CD pipelines) and Azure DevOps Boards for support and work tracking.
Data Concepts: Understanding of metadata, data lineage, and data quality from a production support perspective.
Fluent communication in Japanese (Business/Native) : JLPT N2
