About the Role: The Operations Team Lead is responsible for managing end-to-end execution of pilgrimage tour packages, ensuring smooth coordination between vendors, staff, and pilgrims. This role focuses on delivering safe, spiritually fulfilling, and well-organized travel experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Tour Execution
- Ensure all logistics (transport, accommodation, darshan arrangements) are properly coordinated
- Handle last-minute changes and on-ground issues efficiently
2. Team Management
- Lead and supervise operations executives
- Monitor performance in Projects Module
- Train staff on pilgrimage-specific protocols and vendor handling
3. Vendor Coordination
- Liaise with hotels, transport providers, guides, and local agents
- Negotiate contracts and ensure service quality
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors at destinations
4. Customer Experience
- Ensure a smooth and comfortable journey for pilgrims
- Maintain high customer satisfaction and repeat customer rates
5. Budget & Cost Control
- Monitor operational budgets for tours
- Negotiate & Minimise costs without compromising quality
- Approve vendor payments and track expenses
6. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to travel regulations and permits
- Maintain safety protocols, especially in high-risk pilgrimage locations
- Handle emergency situations and crisis management
7. Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Prepare reports on tour performance, issues, and improvements
- Track KPIs such as customer satisfaction, cost efficiency, and operational success
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Multilingual - Kannada, English, Hindi, Telugu/Tamil etc
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Sharp Negotiation Skills
- Strong coordination and organizational skills
- Customer – oriented with strong attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
- Problem-solving and customer service skills
- Good computer skills (MS Excel, email, booking systems)
- Willingness to work in a devotional and spiritual ecosystem
- Strong motivation to grow within the organization
