JOB OVERVIEW
We are looking for an experienced SAP Finance Technical / Functional Consultant with strong hands-on experience in SAP FI/CO, SAP ECC, and SAP S/4HANA Finance.
This role is ideal for someone who understands SAP Finance from both a functional and technical perspective and can work closely with Finance, SAP, Data Engineering, and Analytics teams.
You should be comfortable analyzing SAP Finance processes, identifying the underlying SAP tables and technical logic, reading and debugging ABAP, and translating SAP business logic into source-to-target mappings and transformation requirements for downstream analytics platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as an SAP Finance SME across SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.
- Support FI/CO areas including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Asset Accounting, Product Costing, and financial close.
- Analyze the S/4 Finance data model, including Universal Journal / ACDOCA and related Finance structures.
- Read, analyze, and debug ABAP programs, custom Z programs, function modules, BADIs, user exits, CDS Views, and SAP reports.
- Identify SAP source tables, fields, joins, filters, calculations, derivations, and business rules.
- Create and validate source-to-target mappings, data lineage, and transformation specifications.
- Analyze SAP extractors, CDS-based extraction, ODP, SLT, and custom interfaces.
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies between SAP and downstream analytics platforms.
- Perform financial and technical reconciliation, including document-level validation, balances, amounts, currencies, and record counts.
- Support unit testing, integration testing, UAT, regression testing, and production validation.
- Partner with Finance, SAP, Data Engineering, and BI teams to ensure downstream reporting accurately reflects SAP business logic.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of SAP Finance experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP FI/CO.
- Experience working with both SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA Finance.
- Strong understanding of S/4 Universal Journal / ACDOCA and Finance data models.
- Strong ability to read, analyze, and debug ABAP.
- Experience with SAP tables, CDS Views, extractors, ODP, and custom Z programs.
- Strong understanding of source-to-target mapping, data lineage, transformation logic, and reconciliation.
- Ability to investigate discrepancies between SAP transactional reporting and downstream data/reporting platforms.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across functional and technical teams.
Preferred Skills
- SQL.
- Databricks / Delta Lake.
- SAP BW extractors, SLT, ODP, or CDS-based extraction.
- ECC-to-S/4 migration or modernization experience.
- Power BI or other enterprise BI platforms.
- Dimensional modeling or modern cloud data architecture experience.

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
