We are looking for a skilled AutoCAD Designer (Laser Cutting) to create accurate CAD drawings and nesting layouts for laser cutting operations. The candidate should have experience in sheet metal design, fabrication drawings, and optimization of material usage.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare 2D AutoCAD drawings for laser cutting projects.
- Convert customer sketches, PDFs, and design files into production-ready drawings.
- Create nesting layouts to maximize material utilization and reduce wastage.
- Verify dimensions, tolerances, and technical specifications before production.
- Coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure drawing accuracy.
- Modify and update drawings based on customer requirements.
- Maintain drawing records and revision control.
- Support fabrication and manufacturing teams with technical clarifications.
- Ensure timely completion of design work to meet production schedules.
Requirements
- ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D).
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and laser cutting processes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and fabrication details.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Minimum 0–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
