Indira Priyadarshini School, 3rd Phase J. P. Nagar, is looking for Homeroom and Support Teachers for Joy of Learning, our Early Learning Centre.
Candidates must have a love for children and should be passionate about their chosen field.
· Requirements:
- Homeroom Teacher: Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching Nursery to K2 (3 years to 5 years) in a reputed preschool
- Assistant/Support Teacher: No prior work experience is required.
- Diploma OR Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood education is required.
- Sound knowledge of Early Childhood pedagogy and developmentally appropriate practices
- Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English are essential.
- Dance/Music skills and ability to guide the little ones through the daily Music and Movement sessions is highly desired.
- Responsibilities:
- Specific duties and responsibilities of the Home Room Teacher will include, but will not be limited to the following:
- Designing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and learning aids based on the IPS-JOL preschool curriculum.
- Providing a safe, welcoming and inclusive learning environment for the students.
- Responsible for teaching whole group/small group classes, regular assessment and anecdotal observations, and maintaining discipline and order.
- Building and maintaining strong partnership with all parents.
- Ensuring strict adherence by junior and support staff to the School's rules and values, safeguarding health and safety at all time.
- Mentoring junior/trainee teachers as necessary.
- Familiarity with high-quality preschool curricula, such as Savvas Three Cheers /Scholastic Big Day/High-Scope is highly desired.
- Candidates with fewer than 2 years of work experience will be considered for Junior Teacher/Trainee position.
- Support/Trainee Teachers will share teaching responsibilities with the Home Room teacher and also support her in class operations, discipline, and in preparing teaching aids.
Salary for the home room teacher starts at 22K and will be commensurate with experience and knowledge.
