Job Description – Restaurant Manager

Job Summary
VGP Heritage is looking for an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensure exceptional guest experiences, lead the service team, maintain high standards of food quality and hygiene, and drive sales and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the overall operations of the restaurant and ensure smooth daily service.
- Deliver outstanding guest service and promptly resolve guest complaints.
- Supervise, train, motivate, and evaluate restaurant staff.
- Prepare staff duty rosters and monitor attendance and grooming standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and company SOPs.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure efficient service.
- Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and service standards.
- Control food costs, wastage, inventory, and operational expenses.
- Achieve sales targets through promotions, upselling, and event coordination.
- Prepare daily sales reports and maintain operational records.
- Ensure proper handling of cash, billing, and closing procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of the restaurant.
- Handle VIP guests, private events, and special reservations professionally.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management or Hospitality.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager in a hotel or fine-dining restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, food costing, inventory control, and guest relations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant management software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
