Job Summary:
The BCA Department is seeking a dedicated and qualified faculty member with strong expertise in Computer Applications. The candidate must hold a Master’s degree in MCA and an undergraduate degree in BCA or equivalent. A minimum of 3 years of experience in teaching or academic research in higher education is required. Preference will be given to candidates who have cleared NET/SLET/KSET. A Ph.D. (completed or pursuing) in Computer Applications or related fields is considered an added advantage. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about shaping young minds and contributing to academic excellence in the field of computing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach core and elective subjects in Computer Applications at the undergraduate (BCA) level.
- Guide students in projects, coding practice, and practical lab work.
- Develop course material, assignments, and assessments aligned with industry standards.
- Engage in departmental activities, curriculum development, and student mentoring.
- Contribute to research, publications, and academic event organization.
- Stay updated with trends in computer science and integrate modern tools into teaching.
Qualifications:
- MCA or equivalent postgraduate degree – Mandatory
- BCA or equivalent undergraduate degree – Mandatory
- NET / SLET / KSET in Computer Applications – Preferred
- Ph.D. or pursuing Ph.D. in Computer Applications or related fields – Good to have
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching and/or academic research experience
Skills & Competencies:
- Solid knowledge of computer programming, databases, software development, and related areas.
- Ability to teach both theoretical and practical components effectively.
- Strong classroom engagement and student mentoring skills.
- Interest in research and professional development in computer applications.
