About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Sr. QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in mobile application testing. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with Appium and a proven track record of designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks.
As a senior member of the QA team, you will guide best practices, mentor junior testers, and ensure the delivery of high-quality mobile applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automation testing frameworks for Android and iOS mobile applications.
- Create, execute, and manage automation test scripts using Appium and related tools.
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and QA teams to review requirements and define test strategies.
- Conduct functional, regression, smoke, performance, and compatibility testing for mobile apps.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bitbucket Pipelines).
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA or similar.
- Review, optimize, and improve the overall QA process and automation coverage.
- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases and maintain well-structured documentation.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5 years of professional experience in QA Automation, with a strong focus on mobile app testing.
- Hands-on experience with Appium (mandatory).
- Expertise with tools such as UI Automator, XCUITest, Espresso, or similar technologies.
- Strong programming/scripting skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience building automation frameworks (POM, Hybrid, BDD, etc.).
- Solid understanding of STLC, mobile testing practices, and device-specific behaviors.
- Experience with version control tools like Git.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote work environment.
Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,300,000.00 per year
