We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Manager to lead the quality function of our manufacturing facility. The QC Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all raw materials, in-process components, and finished products meet customer specifications, industry standards, and company quality requirements. The role involves implementing quality control systems, leading inspections, managing corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement across the production process.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Control system.
- Ensure products meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, and applicable standards.
- Establish quality procedures, inspection plans, and acceptance criteria.
- Monitor compliance with quality policies throughout production.
Incoming Material Inspection
- Inspect and approve incoming raw materials and purchased components.
- Coordinate with the Purchase and Store departments for material acceptance or rejection.
- Maintain records of incoming inspection reports.
In-Process Quality Control
- Conduct stage-wise inspections during manufacturing.
- Monitor critical dimensions, tolerances, and process parameters.
- Identify defects early and implement corrective actions to minimize rework and rejection.
Final Inspection
- Perform final inspection of finished products before dispatch.
- Verify dimensions, functionality, surface finish, packaging, and documentation.
- Approve products for shipment only after meeting quality standards.
Customer Quality Requirements
- Review customer drawings, specifications, and quality requirements before production.
- Coordinate with Project, Production, and Engineering teams to ensure compliance.
- Handle customer quality audits and inspection visits.
Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions
- Investigate quality issues and root causes.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain records of non-conformance reports (NCRs).
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain inspection reports, quality records, calibration records, test reports, and audit documentation.
- Update quality data in the ERP/QMS system.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality performance reports.
Team Leadership
- Lead and supervise QC inspectors and quality engineers.
- Train employees on quality standards and inspection procedures.
- Conduct regular quality meetings and performance reviews.
Compliance & Audits
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards, customer quality requirements, and internal SOPs.
- Coordinate internal and external quality audits.
- Maintain calibration schedules for measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
Continuous Improvement
- Analyze quality trends and recommend process improvements.
- Reduce rejection rates, customer complaints, and rework costs.
- Promote a culture of quality throughout the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance within a manufacturing environment.
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor certification is an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of inspection techniques and measuring instruments (Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, etc.).
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Knowledge of root cause analysis tools (5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, Pareto Analysis).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP software, and quality documentation.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in fabrication, precision engineering, automotive, export manufacturing, industrial equipment, or metal processing industries.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, and CAPA methodologies.
- Experience with customer audits and supplier quality management.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
