The Hospital Operations Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the day-to-day non-clinical and clinical support operations of the hospital to ensure efficient service delivery, patient safety, quality care, and compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Management
- Oversee daily hospital operations to ensure smooth functioning of departments
- Coordinate with medical, nursing, and support service teams
- Ensure optimal utilization of hospital resources (beds, staff, equipment)
Quality & Patient Care Support
- Support implementation of quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure patient flow management and reduce waiting times
- Monitor patient satisfaction and service quality indicators
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, hospital policies, and accreditation standards (e.g., NABH / JCI)
- Oversee infection control, safety protocols, and risk management practices
- Participate in audits and corrective action planning
Human Resource Coordination
- Coordinate staffing schedules with nursing and HR departments
- Support training, orientation, and competency development programs
- Address operational issues related to staff performance and discipline
Financial & Resource Management
- Monitor operational budgets and control costs
- Coordinate procurement and inventory management of supplies and equipment
- Ensure cost-effective operations without compromising quality care
Process Improvement
- Identify operational gaps and implement process improvements
- Use hospital data and reports to improve efficiency
- Support digital health systems and hospital information systems (HIS)
Skills and Competencies

Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field
- Master’s degree (MHA / MBA – Hospital Management) preferred
Experience
- 2–8 years of experience in hospital operations or healthcare administration
- Experience in multi-department coordination
- Willing to work in a rotational shifts.
