We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Accountant to join our team in Chennai. The Financial Accountant will be responsible for recording, analyzing, and reporting the project-wise and company’s financial transactions in compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. This role involves preparing accurate financial statements, tracking project-level accounting, and ensuring timely reporting to support decision-making across the company’s real estate development operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards (IAS) and company policies.
- Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statements on a project level and company level basis.
- Track and reconcile project-specific costs (land acquisition, construction, financing, overhead) to ensure budgetary control.
- Assist with financial modeling and reporting for real estate projects, including project profitability and ROI analyses.
- Support management with variance analysis, financial forecasts, and ad-hoc reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, MBA or equivalent preferred).
- 2–5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in real estate development, construction, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of IAS, real estate accounting practices, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software Tally and MS Excel (MS Power Point preferred).
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
