About the Role
We are looking for a talented and passionate Journalist & Script Writer who can research news and trending topics, verify information, and turn the research into engaging scripts for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and long-form videos.
The candidate should have strong research and storytelling skills and understand how to create content that is informative, engaging, and suitable for a digital audience.
Key Responsibilities
- Research trending, breaking, interesting, and important news stories.
- Find information from reliable and credible sources.
- Fact-check and verify information before publishing.
- Identify unique and engaging angles for stories.
- Write scripts for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and YouTube videos.
- Create strong hooks and engaging openings to capture audience attention.
- Convert complex information into simple, easy-to-understand language.
- Write in English, Hindi, and/or Hinglish as required.
- Develop scripts with strong storytelling, pacing, and viewer retention in mind.
- Include relevant facts, statistics, examples, and background information.
- Coordinate with editors and the content team to ensure the script works well with visuals.
- Rewrite and improve scripts based on feedback.
- Stay updated with current affairs, viral topics, social media trends, and emerging stories.
- Meet daily and weekly content deadlines.
Requirements
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills.
- Strong research and fact-checking abilities.
- Good command of English/Hindi/Hinglish.
- Strong understanding of digital media and social media content.
- Ability to write attention-grabbing hooks.
- Good knowledge of current affairs and trending topics.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to turn research into a compelling narrative.
- Previous experience in journalism, digital media, YouTube, or content writing is preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
