The Receptionist is responsible for managing the front desk of the college and serving as the first point of contact for students, parents, visitors, and staff. The role involves handling inquiries, managing calls, maintaining visitor records, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth front-office operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist visitors, students, parents, and staff in a professional manner.
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.
- Maintain the visitor log register and issue visitor passes when required.
- Provide accurate information regarding college departments, events, and admissions.
- Receive and distribute mail, couriers, and official documents.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
- Coordinate with administrative departments for appointments and meetings.
- Handle general inquiries related to admissions and campus directions.
- Support office staff with basic administrative tasks such as filing and data entry.
- Ensure security protocols for visitors entering the campus.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in any discipline.
- Experience: 1–2 years of experience in front office or receptionist role preferred (freshers may also apply).
- Good communication skills in English and Tamil (Hindi is an advantage).
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and computer operations.
- Professional appearance and friendly personality.
