We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fire Alarm and CCTV Systems Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, programming, maintenance, and repair of low-voltage electronic security systems, specifically CCTV (IP and Analog) and fire alarm systems.
The ideal candidate has strong technical troubleshooting skills, a solid understanding of relevant safety codes, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
## Key Responsibilities
- Installation & Setup: Install, wire, and configure fire alarm panels, smoke detectors, pull stations, CCTV cameras (IP/Analog), NVRs/DVRs, and associated hardware.
- Maintenance & Testing: Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance on existing fire and security systems to ensure compliance with local regulations and NFPA standards.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose system malfunctions, trace electrical circuits, and replace defective components or wiring quickly and efficiently.
- System Programming: Configure IP addresses, set up remote viewing on network cameras, and program fire alarm control panels according to project specifications.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of service calls, installation checklists, system configurations, and daily work orders.
- Customer Support: Educate clients on how to operate their CCTV and fire alarm systems, providing clear and professional walkthroughs.
## Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; a technical degree or certification in electronics or electrical systems is a major plus.
- Experience: Minimum of [1] years of experience installing and servicing CCTV and fire alarm systems.
- Technical Skills: * Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Solid understanding of networking basics (IP routing, subnets, port forwarding) for CCTV setup.
