Job Description – Purchase Manager (Food & Beverage)

Position Summary
The Purchase Manager – F&B will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement of food, beverages, kitchen consumables, and related supplies for the hospital's Food & Beverage department. The role requires an experienced procurement professional from the Hotel/Hospitality Industry who can ensure timely purchasing, maintain quality standards, negotiate competitive pricing, and optimize inventory while complying with food safety and hospital quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement of all food, beverage, bakery, dairy, meat, seafood, fruits, vegetables, groceries, and kitchen consumables.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and annual rate agreements to achieve cost savings.
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of materials without compromising quality or service levels.
- Monitor market trends, seasonal price fluctuations, and identify alternative sourcing opportunities.
- Coordinate with the Executive Chef, Dietetics Team, Kitchen, Stores, and Finance departments for procurement planning.
- Review purchase requisitions and issue Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved procurement policies.
- Ensure all purchased items meet food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the stores team to avoid stock-outs or overstocking.
- Conduct vendor performance evaluations and periodic price benchmarking.
- Verify invoices, purchase documentation, and ensure timely processing of vendor payments.
- Maintain procurement records, contracts, quotations, and audit documentation.
- Ensure compliance with hospital procurement policies, statutory requirements, and quality standards.
- Lead cost optimization initiatives without compromising product quality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Additional certification in Supply Chain or Procurement is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in F&B purchasing.
- Mandatory experience in the Hotel/Hospitality Industry.
- Experience in luxury hotels, star hotels, resorts, or large hospitality establishments will be preferred.
- Exposure to hospital F&B procurement will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹16,881.46 - ₹70,000.00 per month
