Job Summary
Jeevan Rekha Hospital Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Staff Nurse / Shift In-Charge to lead nursing operations during assigned shifts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, supervising nursing staff, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining compliance with NABH standards, hospital policies, and patient safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all nursing activities during the assigned shift.
- Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered nursing care across assigned units.
- Allocate duties and monitor the performance of nursing staff and support personnel.
- Assist consultants and physicians during patient assessment, treatment, and emergency situations.
- Monitor patient conditions, review nursing documentation, and ensure timely interventions.
- Handle shift handovers and ensure continuity of patient care.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control protocols, medication safety, and nursing standards.
- Manage nursing manpower, attendance, leave adjustments, and shift scheduling as required.
- Coordinate with departments including ICU, OT, Emergency, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Radiology, and Administration for smooth patient care.
- Guide, train, and mentor junior nurses and newly joined nursing staff.
- Ensure availability of medicines, consumables, and emergency equipment during the shift.
- Address patient and attendant concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
- Prepare and maintain nursing records, incident reports, shift reports, and other departmental documentation.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, NABH audits, and continuous nursing education programs.
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, statutory requirements, and ethical nursing practices.
Eligibility Criteria
- GNM or B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid West Bengal Nursing Council (WBNC) Registration is mandatory.
- Minimum 5–7 years of clinical nursing experience in a multi-specialty hospital.
- Prior experience as a Shift In-Charge, Senior Staff Nurse, Ward In-Charge, ICU In-Charge, or Nursing Supervisor will be preferred.

- Proficiency in Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and nursing documentation.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
