Oberoi Law Chambers is looking for a diligent and personable Office Assistant to support the day-to-day running of the office. The role sits at the centre of the practice , organising case files, coordinating between clients and the office, and managing schedules , and is well suited to someone who is organised, discreet, and comfortable working in a fast-paced legal environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create, maintain, and organise physical and digital case files; ensure documents are correctly indexed, updated, and easily retrievable. Act as the first point of contact between clients and the office , receiving calls, responding to routine queries, and routing matters to the appropriate advocate. Schedule and coordinate client meetings, court dates, and consultations; maintain the office diary and send timely reminders. Track filing deadlines, hearing dates, and follow-up actions across ongoing matters. Prepare and organise documents for court filings, client meetings, and internal review. Liaise with clients for collection of documents, signatures, and information required for case preparation. Maintain confidentiality of all client and case-related information at all times. Handle general office administration , correspondence, courier and dak management, stationery, and record-keeping. Support the team with any other coordination or administrative tasks as required.
REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate in any discipline; a background in law, office administration, or paralegal work is an advantage. Prior experience in a law office, corporate office, or client-facing administrative role preferred. Strong organisational skills with close attention to detail. Clear, professional communication skills in English, Hindi, and Punjabi. Comfortable with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic digital filing systems. Ability to multitask, prioritise, and stay composed under deadline pressure. High degree of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information.
