Back office Sales Engineer / Sales Support Engineer / Technical Sales Engineer
Role:
A Back Office Sales Engineer provides essential technical and administrative support to the field sales team.
He is focusing on preparing technical proposals, cost estimations (BOM), and managing customer inquiries. He acts as the technical liaison between clients and internal design / production teams, ensuring accurate order documentation, technical compliance, and timely follow-ups from the office.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Technical Proposals and Estimation: Preparing detailed techno-commercial offers, BOM (Bill of
Materials), and share details with design department in order to prepare GA drawings based on customer requirements.
2) Customer Support and Follow-up: Handling technical inquiries via email / phone, maintaining client rapport, and conducting follow-ups on submitted proposals.
3) Documentation and Order Management: Documenting inquiries, ensuring technical accuracy in Purchase Orders (POs) received from customers, and tracking orders through the internal system.
4) Technical Coordination: Bridging the gap between the customer, sales team, and technical teams
(design / engineering) to provide customized solutions.
5) Product Knowledge: Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of product lines (e.g., Automation, VFDs,
Panels) to assist in technical discussions.
Qualifications and Skills:
1)Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering / or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
2)Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of industrial Filters/ Dryers/ Reactors/Tanks/Vessels etc..
3) Soft Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to work under deadlines.
4) Software: Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Experience:
Generally 2–3 years of experience in technical support, pre-sales, or back-office roles. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹44,000.00 per month
