Brief Job Description:
Junior R&D Mechanical Design Engineer will contribute to regional ETO Engineering activities as below described, as part of the team.
Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each:

- Work in a multi-disciplinary engineering team on “engineered to order” (ETO) projects for Chiller units.
- To design ETO solutions with a focus on the mechanical aspects (mainly sheet metal and piping), collaborating with suppliers, Procurement and Industrial Engineering, being aware of the necessary product marketing inputs.
- To create and review product documentation (CAD drawings, specifications, bills of material).
- To meet objectives of cost, quality, environment and time of execution, achieving the best trade-off between market and internal customer needs.
- To analyze and resolve technical problems as regards products under his/her responsibility, improving, updating, reviewing the mechanical drawings according to the information from the Production, Procurement and Logistics departments, so as to simplify the assembly, reducing the costs and improving the quality.
- A sufficient level of experienced CAD skill, combined with a good attention to details.
Qualifications:
Required/ Minimum Qualifications:
- Technical Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- Preferable but not mandatory at least 1 year of previous working experience on similar activities, ideally in Chiller or CRAC and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) sectors.
Additional / Preferred Qualifications:
- Good knowledge of light structural work processing is preferable.
- Knowledge of refrigeration principles would be nice.
- Knowledge of thermodynamics aspects would be nice but not essential.
- Good knowledge of 3D/2D CAD & PLM systems, Microsoft Office tools, particularly PTC Creo and Solid Edge. Knowledge of the management computer systems.
- Knowledge of technical drawings.
- English – Intermediate level – Written and spoken.
- Competences: result-oriented, team player, careful to details, flexible.
