Job Title: Estimator – Oil & GasJob Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our Oil & Gas team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, tender documents, and commercial proposals for EPC, construction, maintenance, and shutdown projects. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of oil and gas projects, pricing methodologies, and contract requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for Oil & Gas projects including EPC, fabrication, piping, mechanical, civil, electrical, and instrumentation works.
- Analyze tender documents, technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements.
- Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and evaluate commercial offers.
- Develop BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and cost breakdown structures.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams for technical clarifications.
- Identify project risks, assumptions, and exclusions during the estimation process.
- Prepare bid proposals, commercial submissions, and supporting documentation.
- Participate in tender reviews and client clarification meetings.
- Maintain historical cost databases and estimation records for future projects.
- Support project teams during project handover and execution phases.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in estimation within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or EPC industry.
- Strong understanding of project costing, tendering, and contract management.
- Experience in preparing estimates for upstream, midstream, or downstream projects is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimation software tools.
- Familiarity with international standards, codes, and specifications applicable to Oil & Gas projects.
Preferred Skills
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work under tight tender deadlines.
- Knowledge of SAP, Primavera, AutoCAD, or ERP systems is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas estimation and tendering.
