Kitchen Steward – Job Description
Position: Kitchen Steward
Department: Kitchen / F&B Production
Reports To: Executive Chef / Kitchen Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, dishwashing area, and storage areas.
Wash and sanitize crockery, cutlery, glassware, kitchen utensils, and equipment.
Ensure proper waste segregation and disposal as per hygiene standards.
Clean kitchen floors, walls, drains, and workstations regularly.
Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing kitchen supplies.
Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic cleaning and preparation tasks.
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hotel SOPs.
Report any maintenance or equipment issues to the supervisor.
Follow all health, safety, and grooming standards.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant is preferred.
Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and sanitation practices.
Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Physically fit and capable of handling cleaning duties.
Positive attitude and team-oriented approach.
Salary: As per company standards and experience.
Location: Purple Elephant Hotels & Experiences, Kochi.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
