About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Liaisoning Officer – Permits & Approvals to manage regulatory approvals, statutory compliances, government liaisoning, and utility coordination for solar energy projects. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in dealing with government authorities and power utilities such as GEDA, GETCO, DISCOMs, CEIG, SLDC, and CEA, along with hands-on knowledge of project approvals, grid connectivity, statutory documentation, and commissioning-related activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Documentation & Compliance
● Manage project documentation and monitor approval workflows in line with project connectivity milestones.
● Ensure timely submission and follow-up of statutory and regulatory documents.
● Track approval status and maintain proper records of all permits, certificates, and correspondence.
● Ensure compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
2. Regulatory Approvals & Government Liaisoning Coordinate with relevant government departments and authorities for project approvals, including:
● GEDA: Provisional and Final Registration – Stage I & Stage II.
● GETCO: VCB panel drawings, inspections, erection approvals, line material approvals, and related permissions.
● CEIG: Plant and transmission line drawings, inspections, approvals, and certification.
● DISCOM: Metering approvals, ABT meter requirements, CT/PT and ABT testing, plant and consumer installations.
● SLDC: RTU estimates and installation, MOM signing, grid connectivity charges, forecasting and scheduling requirements.
● CEA: Applicable statutory and technical approvals.
● Coordinate with authorities for timely resolution of queries, observations, and pending approvals. 3. Land & Statutory Clearances
● Coordinate with the Legal and Project teams for: ○ Lease Deed ○ Title Clearance ○ NA Permission ○ Land-related statutory clearances
● Ensure land and statutory documentation is completed within project timelines. 4. Grid Connectivity & Project Approvals
● Coordinate for Technical Feasibility Reports (TFR).
● Follow up on transmission line estimates and line-shifting approvals.
● Track grid connectivity milestones and associated approvals.
● Coordinate charging permissions and commissioning-related documentation.
● Ensure timely completion of statutory milestones, including: ○ Work Completion Certificates ○ PPA / Wheeling Agreements ○ Charging Permissions ○ SCOD submissions ○ Commissioning Certificates 5. Internal Coordination
● Coordinate closely with Legal, Purchase, Business Development, Engineering, Project Execution, and Finance teams.
● Align regulatory approvals with project execution schedules.
● Escalate approval-related delays and provide regular status updates to management. 6. Post-Commissioning Activities
● Coordinate QCA appointment and related documentation.
● Manage SCOD communication with relevant authorities.
●Coordinate the return of Bank Guarantees from DISCOMs.
● Verify energy bills and ensure accurate unit set-off after commissioning.
● Follow up on post-commissioning regulatory and utility-related requirements. 7. Government & Stakeholder Relations
● Develop and maintain professional relationships with government authorities, regulatory bodies, DISCOMs, and other stakeholders.
● Represent the organization professionally during meetings, inspections, consultations, and approval processes.
● Ensure effective communication and timely resolution of regulatory issues. 8. Tender Management
● Track relevant government and utility tenders.
● Attend pre-bid meetings when required.
● Review tender requirements and prepare tender summaries for management.
● Coordinate internally for submission of required documents and information.
Required Skills & Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Power Engineering, or a related field preferred.
● 6–8 years of relevant experience in liaisoning, regulatory approvals, government coordination, or project approvals.
● Strong experience in the Solar / Renewable Energy / Power / Electrical Infrastructure sector.
● Hands-on experience dealing with GEDA, GETCO, DISCOM, CEIG, SLDC, and other government authorities.
● Good understanding of solar project approvals, grid connectivity, metering, commissioning, and statutory compliance.
● Strong documentation and follow-up skills.
● Excellent communication, negotiation, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills.
● Ability to manage multiple approvals and project timelines simultaneously.
● Strong knowledge of MS Office and project documentation.
Preferred Candidate Profile Candidates from Solar EPC, Renewable Energy, Power Transmission & Distribution, Electrical Infrastructure, or Power Project companies with hands-on experience in government liaisoning and regulatory approvals will be preferred.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
