Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Assistant Manager – Purchase to join our procurement team. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing and procurement of new development items from the local market along with handling purchase activities related to raw materials, die/tool materials, packing materials, consumables, and other engineering items.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement of raw materials, die & tool materials, packing materials, consumables, and other industrial items.
- Identification and development of new vendors for development and production requirements.
- Responsible for sourcing new development items from the local market as per technical and commercial requirements.
- Conduct vendor visits for new supplier registration, capability assessment, price negotiations, and procurement follow-up.
- Obtain quotations, compare rates, negotiate commercial terms, and finalize purchase orders.
- Coordinate with production, quality, stores, and accounts departments for smooth procurement operations.
- Monitor delivery schedules and ensure timely availability of materials.
- Maintain procurement records, vendor database, and documentation related to purchases.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong exposure in Vendor Development & Vendor Management.
- Good communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to handle local market visits and supplier meetings independently.
- Strong understanding of commercial terms, costing, and rate analysis.
- Good follow-up and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and purchase documentation.
- Candidate should be result-oriented, responsible, and capable of working under deadlines.
- Minimum education required Degree/ Diploma in any trade with minimum 7-8 years of experience on same profile.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
