We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Architect specializing in municipal approvals. You will bridge the gap between design concepts and legal compliance. Your primary focus will be refining architectural blueprints into final sanction drawings and compiling the documentation required for seamless building permit approvals. Key Responsibilities Drawing Finalization
- Modify architectural designs into standardized municipal sanction drawings.
- Incorporate local building bylaws, floor space index (FSI/FAR) rules, and setback requirements.
- Prepare detailed statutory layouts including site plans, sanitation plans, and fire-escape routes.
Application & Documentation
- Compile and verify all legal documents, ownership records, and technical certificates.
- Draft formal application forms for building permits, occupancy certificates, and NOCs.
- Maintain meticulous records of submitted plans, revisions, and official correspondence.
Liaison & Coordination
- Coordinate with consultants (structural, MEP, fire) to integrate their inputs into approval drawings.
- Assist senior architects during technical meetings with municipal authorities and scrutiny officers.
- Track application status and promptly address any objections or clarifications raised by the department.
Qualifications & SkillsEducation & Experience
- Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (B.Arch) or Diploma in Architecture.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience specifically handling municipal drawings and local building codes.
Technical Skills
- Software: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and local online submission portals (e.g., AutoDCR).
- Bylaws: Strong working knowledge of local building codes, zoning regulations, and development control rules.
Soft Skills
- Precision: Exceptional attention to detail to avoid application rejections.
- Communication: Clear written and verbal communication for drafting letters and liaising with teams.
