Job Summary
The Clinic Technician plays a vital role in supporting doctors and nurses by assisting with diagnostic tests, handling medical equipment, and contributing to patient care activities. The role ensures smooth clinical operations while maintaining high standards of patient safety and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist doctors and nurses in routine clinical procedures and patient care
- Perform basic diagnostic tests such as ECG, X-ray, and laboratory sample collection
- Prepare and maintain medical equipment for examinations and procedures
- Ensure proper sterilization and hygiene of instruments and clinical areas
- Record and maintain accurate patient test data and reports
- Support patient preparation for tests and procedures
- Monitor equipment functionality and report any issues promptly
- Follow safety protocols and clinic guidelines at all times
Qualifications
- Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT), X-ray, ECG, or related field
OR
- Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related discipline
- Certifications from recognized institutes are highly valued
Skills & Competencies
- Basic knowledge of diagnostic procedures and medical equipment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling patient data
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented healthcare environment
- Strong commitment to hygiene, safety, and patient care
- Experience (Optional)
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in a clinic, hospital, or diagnostic center preferred
