Position: Electrician Cum Plumber
Department: Maintenance & Technical Services
Reporting To: Maintenance & Technical In-Charge
Job Summary
The Electrician Cum Plumber is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical and plumbing systems within the hospital premises. The role ensures uninterrupted operation of electrical equipment, water supply, drainage systems, and related infrastructure.
Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, lighting systems, switches, sockets, and electrical equipment.
- Inspect electrical systems and identify faults or safety hazards.
- Attend electrical breakdowns and perform corrective maintenance.
- Monitor generators, UPS systems, pumps, and other electrical installations.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain records of electrical maintenance activities.
Plumbing Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair water supply lines, drainage systems, taps, valves, and sanitary fixtures.
- Attend plumbing complaints such as leakages, blockages, and water supply issues.
- Inspect pipelines, tanks, pumps, and plumbing equipment regularly.
- Ensure proper functioning of toilets, wash basins, and drainage systems.
- Carry out preventive maintenance to avoid breakdowns and water wastage.
General Duties
- Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies.
- Coordinate with other departments for maintenance requirements.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts in good condition.
- Follow hospital safety protocols and workplace regulations.
- Perform any other maintenance-related duties assigned by management.
Qualification & Experience
- ITI/Diploma in Electrician, Wireman, Plumbing, or related trade.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in electrical and plumbing maintenance.
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards and plumbing systems.
- Ability to work independently and attend emergency repairs.
Skills Required
- Electrical troubleshooting and repair.
- Plumbing installation and maintenance.
- Preventive maintenance knowledge.

- Good communication and teamwork.
Working Hours
As per hospital duty schedule and emergency maintenance requirements.

Place of Work: Siddhar Vanam Siddha Hospital, Trichy.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
