We are seeking a compassionate and skilled NICU Nurse to provide specialized care for premature, critically ill, and newborn infants in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with neonatologists, pediatricians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess the condition of newborn infants in the NICU.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed.
- Operate and monitor specialized neonatal equipment, including ventilators and incubators.
- Assist physicians during neonatal procedures and emergencies.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Educate and support parents and families regarding infant care and treatment plans.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
- Follow infection control and patient safety protocols.
- Participate in multidisciplinary care planning and quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- - Education: Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Nursing, GNM, BSc, or Post BSc.
- - Licensure: Kerala Registered Nurse (KNMC) license.
- - Experience: Minimum 2 year preferred in NICU
Preferred Skills
- Experience with neonatal ventilators and monitoring equipment.
- Knowledge of neonatal intensive care protocols.
- Strong teamwork and family-centered care approach.
- Ability to perform under pressure in critical care situations.
