Role Summary
EnAble India is looking for a legal and compliance professional to manage commercial documentation, statutory and regulatory compliance, Board governance, and legal advisory matters. The role will work closely with the Board, leadership, accounts team, programme teams, partners, and external advisors.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, MoUs, partnership agreements, donor/grant agreements, NDAs, vendor agreements, and other commercial documents.
- Advise the Board, leadership team, and internal stakeholders on legal, contractual, governance, and compliance matters.
- Manage FCRA and other statutory/regulatory compliance, including renewals, filings, documentation in coordination with accounts team.
- Convene and support Board Meetings, including agendas, notices, resolutions, minutes, statutory records, and follow-up actions.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure relevant policies, processes, and compliance requirements are updated.
- Conduct legal and compliance due diligence of partner organisations, including review of registrations, statutory compliance, governance documents, financial/legal risks, and contractual readiness.
- Support legal and compliance requirements relating to donors, programme partnerships, audits, and organisational policies.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, government authorities, and other stakeholders as required.
Candidate Profile
- LL.B. or equivalent legal qualification; additional qualification in Company Law/CS/Compliance would be an advantage.
- Relevant experience in legal, contracts, governance, and regulatory compliance.
- Good knowledge of FCRA and laws applicable to NGOs/non-profit organisations.
- Experience or understanding of the development, disability, social impact, or non-profit sector would be preferred.
- Strong legal drafting, analytical, stakeholder-management, and communication skills.
- Ability to translate legal requirements into practical guidance for non-legal stakeholders.
Pay: Up to ₹50,000.00 per month
