About Young Innovators
Young Innovators is a pioneering Edu-tech company dedicated to transforming today’s educational environment through the implementation of STEM education, driven by our "exploratory and product-based learning" methodology. Through our unique teaching approach and meticulously designed products, we lead the education sector in empowering learners to excel in an increasingly competitive global landscape. Our diverse range of programs, crafted by an expert team of passionate educators, experienced engineers, and creative designers, caters to learners irrespective of their age and abilities.
About the Role
We are looking for passionate tech-educators who want to move beyond textbook teaching to actively shape young minds, spark curiosity, and build the future. As a Robotics STEM Educator, you will blend the mind of a developer with the heart of a teacher. You will be responsible for creating a dynamic lab environment where children (Grades 5-10) move seamlessly from theoretical concepts to hands-on prototyping. You will lead students through comprehensive, product-based modules that merge physical mechanics, foundational electronics, and coding to design and build fully functional robotic systems.
Job Summary
At Young Innovators, we are on a mission to revolutionize how science and technology are taught in schools. As a Robotics STEM Educator, you will be at the forefront of this transformation—facilitating hands-on, minds-on learning experiences that ignite curiosity, foster algorithmic thinking, and build engineering confidence in young minds. This role is ideal for individuals who love microcontrollers, sensors, and mechanics, and are equally passionate about simplifying complex technical concepts to mentor the next generation of innovators.
Key Responsibilities1. Classroom Delivery & Engineering Facilitation
- Hands-on Robotics Mentorship: Deliver high-energy, project-based robotics programs, ensuring hardware architectures and programming logic are accessible and exciting.
- Simulation to Hardware Transition: Guide students through the entire product development lifecycle—from designing circuits in simulation software to wiring physical microcontrollers and troubleshooting hardware.
- Cultivate Algorithmic Thinking: Actively encourage creativity, logical reasoning, and independent debugging during physical computing and lab sessions.
2. Technical Guidance & Project Prototyping
- Guide Young Innovators: Serve as a technical mentor helping students brainstorm, wire, code, and assemble functional robotic prototypes (e.g., autonomous rovers, sensor-driven automation, smart systems).
- Hardware & Software Integration: Teach students how to bridge code with mechanics, utilizing physical components like Arduino platforms, motor drivers, servos, and diverse sensor arrays (IR, Ultrasonic, PIR, etc.).
- App & Interface Design: Guide students in developing basic mobile controller interfaces (such as MIT App Inventor) to communicate with their hardware projects via Bluetooth or voice control.
- Maintain Lab Safety: Ensure a safe, organized, and collaborative environment during all practical hardware assembly, component handling, and tool usage.
3. Program Execution & Collaboration
- Session Planning & Kit Management: Prepare for daily sessions by reviewing curriculum objectives, organizing physical robotics hardware kits, and testing components before entering the classroom.
- Collaborative Innovation: Work closely with our curriculum developers and engineering teams to refine lesson plans, test new hardware iterations, and provide real classroom feedback.
- Track Outcomes: Monitor student project milestones and provide structured, constructive feedback to help them improve their engineering and logic skills.
Work Structure
- Work Timings: Office timings are typically between 9:00 am to 5:530 pm, depending on school schedules and travel; 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday.
- School Days: Depends on the number of schools assigned.
Who You Are
- Educational Background: A graduate in Engineering (ECE, EEE, CSE, Mechatronics), Science, or Technology with strong foundational technical knowledge.
- Core Technical Skills: Solid conceptual understanding of basic electronics (circuits, breadboards), embedded systems (Arduino ecosystem), and programming (C++ or block-based logic).
- Pedagogical Mindset: Naturally curious, enthusiastic, and passionate about working with children and simplifying complex engineering principles.
- Communication Power: Excellent verbal communication, storytelling, and classroom management skills to hold the attention of a young audience.
- Flexibility: Comfortable traveling to assigned partner schools and outreach hubs across Bengaluru for sessions and workshops.
What We Offer
- Meaningful work that makes a tangible impact on students' engineering and analytical mindsets.
- Structured Training: A 3-month onboarding program covering product architecture, content delivery, effective pedagogy, and classroom co-facilitation.
- A creative, supportive, and innovation-driven work environment.
- Opportunities to bring your own technical project ideas into our evolving curriculum.
- Competitive fixed salary and performance-based incentives.
Performance Management
- Student learning outcomes and successful project execution.
- School and teacher feedback.
- Periodic session quality and delivery audits.
