Job Overview
Baseline is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Mechanical to lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from planning through execution and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage mechanical project execution for industrial projects.
- Develop project execution strategies, schedules, and resource plans.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to project timelines and milestones.
- Supervise mechanical works including piping, equipment erection, utilities, fabrication, and installation activities.
- Manage project budgets, manpower, materials, and subcontractors.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical documents.
- Identify project risks and implement corrective actions to minimize delays.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.
- Conduct project review meetings and prepare progress reports for management and clients.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
- Support contract administration, billing verification, and project closeout activities.
Qualification & Experience
- B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in mechanical project execution and management.
- Proven experience managing industrial projects involving piping, equipment installation, utilities, fabrication, and erection works.
- Hands-on experience in project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Ability to review GA drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, layouts, and engineering documents.
- Experience in contractor management, client coordination, and project reporting.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance, safety practices, and construction methodologies.
- Candidates with experience in the Steel Industry will be preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
