Job Summary
The Badminton Teacher is responsible for developing students' badminton skills through structured coaching, physical training, and competitive preparation. The role includes conducting regular coaching sessions, promoting sportsmanship, ensuring student safety, organizing tournaments, and maintaining badminton facilities and equipment. The teacher is expected to encourage student participation in sports while fostering discipline, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities
Coaching & Training
- Plan and conduct badminton coaching sessions for students across different age groups.
- Teach fundamental and advanced badminton techniques, including grip, footwork, serves, strokes, and match strategies.
- Design age-appropriate training programs to improve fitness, agility, coordination, and endurance.
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
- Identify talented students and prepare them for inter-school, district, state, and national-level competitions.
Tournament & Event Management
- Organize intra-school badminton competitions and selection trials.
- Coach and accompany school teams during tournaments and sports events.
- Maintain records of student participation, achievements, and performance.
- Coordinate with sports authorities and event organizers for external competitions.
Student Development
- Promote discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship, and ethical conduct.
- Encourage maximum student participation in sports activities.
- Motivate students to maintain physical fitness and adopt healthy lifestyles.
- Ensure inclusive participation regardless of students' skill levels.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure student safety during practice sessions and competitions.
- Conduct warm-up and cool-down exercises to prevent injuries.
- Follow school safety protocols and first-aid procedures.
- Report injuries or safety concerns promptly to the school administration.
Equipment & Facility Management
- Maintain badminton courts, nets, rackets, shuttlecocks, and other sports equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of sports facilities and report repair or maintenance requirements.
- Ensure equipment is stored safely and used responsibly.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain attendance and coaching records.
- Prepare training schedules, tournament reports, and student progress reports.
- Support the planning and execution of annual sports events, Sports Day, and fitness initiatives.
- Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and school activities as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or equivalent.
- Master's Degree (M.P.Ed.) preferred.
- Certification in Badminton Coaching from a recognized sports authority is desirable.
- Relevant coaching and school sports experience preferred.

- Strong technical knowledge of badminton coaching.

- Ability to train students of varying skill levels.

- Knowledge of tournament rules and officiating.
- Basic first-aid and injury management knowledge.

Experience
- 2–5 years of experience as a Badminton Coach or Physical Education Teacher in a school or sports academy.
- Experience coaching competitive school teams will be an added advantage.
Pay: From ₹30,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
