Roles & Responsibilities:
- · Strategy and planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies and campaigns.
- · Donor relations:
- Identify, research, and cultivate relationships with individual donors, corporations, and foundations. This also includes thanking donors and providing them with updates on the organization's progress.
- · Event management:
- Plan, organize, and execute fundraising events, from large galas to smaller community events.
- · Campaign execution:
- Coordinate all aspects of fundraising campaigns, which may include managing a budget and overseeing volunteers.
- · Proposal and grant writing:
- Write and submit grant proposals and other fundraising proposals to potential sponsors.
- · Data and record management:
- Maintain accurate records of donors, donations, and sponsors in a database.
- · Communications and marketing:
- Create and distribute promotional materials, and collaborate with marketing teams to raise awareness for the organization's work and needs.
- · Reporting and analysis:
- Track fundraising progress, monitor campaign success, and analyze data to inform future strategies.
- Specialized roles:
- ·Annual campaign fundraiser: Focuses on soliciting donations on a yearly basis.
- · Capital campaign fundraiser: Raises money for specific, long-term projects like new buildings or endowments.
- · Major-gifts fundraiser: Works one-on-one with donors capable of making large contributions.
- Planned-giving fundraiser: Specializes in soliciting future gifts, such as bequests or charitable annuities, and requires knowledge of tax laws related to gifts.
- · Develop and implement fundraising strategies and plans to achieve annual fundraising goals.
- · Research and identify potential donors, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and trusts.
- · Develop and maintain a donor database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- · Write compelling proposals and grant applications to secure funding and generate sponsorship.

- Skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Communications, Marketing, Non-profit Management) or equivalent experience or 12th pass.
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of the admissions process and institutional eligibility criteria
- Experience with social media and online fundraising platforms.
- Knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to speak more than one language
- Proven experience in fundraising, donor relations, and event management.
- Knowledge of fundraising principles and best practices.
