Qualifications
- Two years of experience in equity research.
- Strong interest and passion for investing and equity markets.
- Proficient in fundamental research, with a good understanding of financial statements, ratios, and valuations.
- Basic operational knowledge of MS Excel functions and data analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (BCOM) or MBA in Finance, with excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.
- Candidate must be under 35 years of age.
Roles and Responsibilities: -
- Conduct bottom-up research on target companies listed in US Stock Market, utilizing annual reports, quarterly financials, and various investor resources such as earnings calls and public domain searches
- Perform sector-specific industry analysis, evaluating financial ratios, growth prospects, regulatory/government impacts, and valuation metrics.
- Draft concise research notes containing investment recommendations.
- Track daily news and corporate announcements, as well as quarterly results and changes in economic policies.
- Engage with social media platforms like Twitter, Telegram, and YouTube to gather market insights, connect with traders, and follow analysts.
- Utilize additional platforms like Reuters, seeking alpha, Bloomberg etc to gather more relevant market information.
- Stay updated on economic fundamentals, news updates, and events impacting stocks and markets, ensuring that no important information is overlooked, and providing real-time updates to team members. Be highly dynamic to capture all relevant developments.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Excel for data research, sorting, and analysis to identify trading patterns from historical data.
