We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Equity Research Analyst with a primary focus on the US stock market. The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for investing, working knowledge of US-listed companies, and the drive to take complete ownership of the research process — from idea generation to actionable investment recommendations. You must be quick, curious, and relentless in ensuring no market-moving development goes unnoticed.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct bottom-up fundamental research on US-listed companies using annual reports (10-K), quarterly filings (10-Q), earnings call transcripts, investor presentations, and public domain sources.
- Perform sector-specific industry analysis covering financial ratios, growth prospects, competitive positioning, regulatory/government impacts, and valuation metrics.
- Draft concise, well-structured research notes with clear investment recommendations.
- Track daily news flow, corporate announcements, quarterly results, and changes in economic policy affecting US markets.
- Monitor social media platforms (Twitter/X, Telegram, YouTube) to gather market insights, follow leading analysts, and connect with the trading community.
- Leverage platforms such as Reuters, Seeking Alpha, and Bloomberg to source relevant market intelligence.
- Stay on top of economic fundamentals, macro events, and breaking news impacting stocks — providing real-time updates to team members and ensuring no important information is overlooked.
- Use Excel for data research, sorting, and analysis to identify trading patterns from historical data.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in equity research; exposure to US markets strongly preferred.
- Strong interest and passion for investing and equity markets.
- Solid grounding in fundamental research — financial statements, ratios, and valuation methodologies.
- Working proficiency in MS Excel functions and data analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or MBA in Finance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Candidate must be under 35 years of age.
- Highly dynamic, self-driven, and willing to take full ownership of research responsibilities.
What We Look For
Someone who lives and breathes markets — a self-starter who proactively tracks US market hours, earnings seasons, and macro events, and can translate raw information into sharp, actionable insights for the team.
