Phlebotomist Job Description
Position: Phlebotomist / Sample Collection ExecutiveLocation: Centre & Home Collection Services
Job Responsibilities
- Collect blood samples from patients at the collection centre and during home visits.
- Follow proper venipuncture and sample collection procedures.
- Label, store, and transport samples correctly to maintain sample integrity.
- Ensure all samples are collected according to laboratory guidelines.
- Maintain patient records and collection details accurately.
- Follow infection control, safety, and hygiene protocols.
- Coordinate with laboratory staff for sample dispatch and reporting.
- Handle patients professionally and provide a comfortable collection experience.
- Manage collection materials, consumables, and equipment.
- Travel to nearby areas for home sample collection as assigned.
Requirements
- DMLT / MLT certification preferred.
- Experience in blood sample collection and venipuncture.
- Good communication and patient-handling skills.
- Knowledge of sample handling and laboratory procedures.
- Two-wheeler and valid driving license preferred for home collections.
- Ability to work independently and maintain punctuality.
Working Hours
- As per centre operational requirements.
- Flexible for home collection appointments.
Salary
- Based on experience and performance.
