Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced CAD Support Engineer with expertise in sheet metal and plastic component design to support medical device product development. The ideal candidate should possess strong CAD modeling skills using CREO and SolidWorks, have a solid understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and product lifecycle documentation while working in a regulated medical device environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and modify 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings using CREO and SolidWorks.
- Design sheet metal and plastic components for medical device products.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings compliant with ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards.
- Support New Product Development (NPD), product enhancement, and engineering change activities.
- Generate and maintain BOMs, design documentation, and engineering release packages.
- Work closely with Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory teams.
- Support tolerance stack-up analysis and design for manufacturability (DFM).
- Participate in design reviews and implement design improvements.
- Ensure design documentation complies with medical device quality requirements.
Required Skills
- 5–7 years of CAD design experience.
- Strong proficiency in CREO and SolidWorks.
- Expertise in:
- Sheet Metal Design
- Plastic Part Design
- Injection Molded Components
- GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
- Engineering Drawings
- Experience with Engineering Change Orders (ECO/ECR).
- Knowledge of PLM/PDM systems is preferred.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Medical Device industry.
- Knowledge of Design Controls and Design History File (DHF).
- Familiarity with ISO 13485 and FDA design documentation requirements.
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
