The Opportunity
INDSRO is hiring four Junior Research Scientists to work on energy-storage research involving batteries, supercapacitors and advanced functional materials.
This opportunity is suitable for early-career researchers who enjoy experimental work and want to build practical expertise in material synthesis, electrochemical testing and performance analysis. The selected candidates will participate in laboratory studies and contribute to the evaluation and improvement of energy-storage materials.
Areas of Work
- Synthesis and preparation of materials for batteries and supercapacitors.
- Development and evaluation of electrode and energy-storage materials.
- Preparation of samples and laboratory-scale test configurations.
- Electrochemical characterization through relevant testing techniques.
- Analysis of charge–discharge behaviour, cycling performance and material stability.
- Comparison and interpretation of experimental results.
- Review of scientific literature relating to emerging energy-storage technologies.
- Documentation of experimental methods, observations and findings.
- Preparation of technical summaries, presentations and project updates.
- Safe handling of chemicals, materials and laboratory instruments.
- Coordination with scientists, engineers and project teams.
Candidate Requirements
- M.Sc. or M.Tech. in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 0–3 years of relevant academic, research or industrial experience.
- Knowledge of batteries, supercapacitors or energy-storage materials.
- Exposure to material synthesis and electrochemical characterization.
- Familiarity with techniques such as cyclic voltammetry, charge–discharge testing or impedance analysis will be preferred.
- Ability to analyse scientific data and communicate conclusions clearly.
- Good laboratory-record maintenance and technical-writing skills.
- Strong interest in energy research and sustainable technologies.
- Fresh candidates with relevant academic projects, dissertations or laboratory training may apply.
