We are looking for an experienced and responsible Inventory Manager / Store Keeper to manage the day-to-day operations of our construction site store. The candidate will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and maintaining accurate records of construction materials, tools, equipment, and consumables while ensuring proper stock control and preventing material wastage or loss.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the complete inventory and store operations at the construction site.
- Receive construction materials from suppliers and verify quantity, specifications, quality, and condition against purchase orders/challans.
- Prepare and maintain Material Receipt Notes (MRN), Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), inward registers, and other relevant documentation.
- Properly store and arrange materials to ensure easy identification, accessibility, and safe handling.
- Issue materials to site teams, contractors, and workers against authorized Material Requisition/Issue Slips.
- Maintain accurate records of all material receipts, issues, returns, transfers, and closing stock.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the Purchase, Project, and Accounts teams for timely replenishment.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile physical stock with inventory records.
- Identify shortages, excess stock, damaged materials, and discrepancies and immediately report them to management.
- Maintain proper records of cement, steel, tiles, sanitaryware, electrical items, plumbing materials, hardware, paints, tools, safety equipment, and other construction materials.
- Monitor material consumption and highlight unusual or excessive usage to the Project Manager/Management.
- Maintain proper documentation for returnable and non-returnable materials issued to contractors or workers.
- Ensure the store is maintained in a clean, organized, secure, and safe condition.
- Coordinate with suppliers, site engineers, contractors, and other departments regarding material deliveries and requirements.
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management.
- Assist in preparing material requirement and stock reports based on site requirements.
- Ensure that no material is issued without proper authorization.
- Perform other store and inventory-related duties assigned by management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Graduate / Diploma preferred; candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.
- 2–5 years of experience in construction site stores/inventory management.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials and their storage requirements.
- Good understanding of stock control, material inward/outward, inventory reconciliation, and documentation.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and basic computer applications.
- Experience with inventory software/ERP/Tally will be an advantage.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently at a busy construction site.
- Honest, disciplined, organized, and responsible approach to handling company materials.
Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
