Objective
To support the medical college and hospital by providing supervised clinical care, assisting in teaching undergraduate medical students, and participating in academic and hospital activities, thereby contributing to high-quality patient services, medical education, and the overall growth and standards of the institution.
Departments
Non-Clinical Departments : Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine and Toxicology & Community Medicine.
Clinical Departments : General Medicine, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Dermatology, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Oto-Rhinolaryngology, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Anaesthesiology, Dentistry and Emergency Medicine.
Key Responsibilities :
- Teach undergraduate (MBBS) medical students in classroom and clinical settings.
- Conduct lectures, small group seminars, and practical demonstrations.
- Supervise clinical rounds, case presentations, and bedside teaching.
- Mentor and guide students in academic research and projects.
- Participate in departmental academic meetings, curriculum planning, assessments.
- Contribute to clinical services as per department requirements.
- Maintain student records, assessment reports, and academic documentation.
- Engage in research, publications, and quality improvement activities.
Eligibility & Qualifications :
Position : Professor
- MBBS with MD/MS/DNB or PhD/Doctorate in the relevant department
- Minimum years of teaching experience (often 8+ years for Professor roles)
- Valid NMC / State Medical Council registration (for medical degree holders)
